Just recently I posted a blog about Daisy loving my afternoon charge, Noah my friends 7 month old....she is also in love with Sophia next door who is turning 2 on the 18th. Today at work one of my customers brought in her little girl Cassy who is 3....she is from Mexico and barely speaks English but she knows Daisy and calls out to her when she comes in Daisy, Daisy, Daisy...well, true to form my Daisy loves her too.

I can't believe I am so lucky, she is a gentle giant and it's all her. My last dog would have nothing to do with little people and I never let him go near them after the first incident. I was nervous the first 50 times she met a child or baby but no more. Of course you always have to be aware but pretty it's pretty obvious Daisy has good manners when it comes to children and babies.

Cassy's Mom snapped this picture, isn't it cute.

How are your doodles with the under 4 foot people?

Shelby enjoys the little humans as well... and seems to instinctively know to be gentle.  I've seen her get nervous a few times with kids that were just on hyperdrive, but she always wants to say hello :)   (assuming the parent is ok with it)

Sometimes I think the parents love it as much as I do.

Monty loves the grandchildren, ages 3 & 5.  He really likes then when they eat, easy pickens!  Cant get to pics right now but i do post them.

Again, Smart doodle know what to do to get the prize. :-)

Sedona is great with our two-year-old granddaughter, Kayla. She hasn't had a lot of opportunity to be around other kids, but I imagine she'd be just fine. We'll see in March when number 2 (a little boy) arrives.

Congratulations Deanna, I can't wait to be a Grandparent, hopefully this year.

Thanks!  It really is a wonderful experience.  Fingers crossed for you!

Bella is attentive and sweet with little people and has always been great with my grandchildren, 1 and 3 yrs old. Murphy just gives them a wide berth and moves immediately if they get anywhere near his personal space. Not sure if he just doesn't want to be bothered, is afraid of them, although a child has never hurt him, or if he is being respectful of their space.
Both dogs will sit near or follow a child with food in their hand, but have been trained to not take food from them. Bella still struggles with that one. You can see her physically trying to decide if she should or shouldn't take the food, especially when they shove it in her face. She looks at me, then the food, looks back at me, tries to lick the little one, looks at me. I think her technique is to lick them and if it makes them drop it she thinks it's fair game if its on the floor.! We are working on that one too. Get that about 50/50 most of the time.
Daisy looks so comfortable and calm near the little girl. So sweet.

Bella and Murphy, I would follow a kid with a cookie too! LOL

Murphy is a smart boy...as I said my Zach wanted to bite the hand and the cookie.

Daisy and her little friend are adorable. Quincy tolerates kids, he doesn't seek them out but he has been smacked, poked and petted by many little ones. He has even been used as a bed for dolls.

Poor boy.

Ha ha, Quincy, you are a star....I see DH is making sure there is no earthquake in that village.
