As most people know on this site, Vern is a roller. He rolls in almost anything. Right now, our yard is covered in oak tree droppings (catkins).  Fudge and Vern go out and play and come back full of these things :(  Sadly, Vern almost always has something hanging off of him, but Fudge is harder to catch with a dirty mug.  Let's see some pictures of your dog' s dirty mugs. Here are my two:

Haley rarely has a dirty mug but the pecan tree is dropping its catkins and after retrieving his ball last night he was covered in them.

Fortunately they pull off easily.  We do have a 15 year old oak which so far has not bloomed so I guess we have its catkins to look forward to one day.
Those catkins are driving me crazy every day!!
I agree about the catkins--didn't know what they were called, but my driveway is under a tree that sheds them by the zillions, so my car looks like a forest creature.  Ugh!  Cute shot of happy Haley!
Awe... so cute!  OUR "catkins" don't pull off easily and they're BROWN and dry when they fall... Now, if we were talking 'dirty floors' - (due to catkins...) THAT I have pictures of!  LOL "PRISSY MISS TORI" honestly doesn't like the mud... she 'prances' over puddles and hates her feet wet on the ground when she has to go out... then right back in and waits for me to wipe off her feet... now, wonder where she learned that from... I swear - I have caused such issues with my kids and dog - lol

All of these doodles look so happy covered in mud.  Here's a picture of Halas wet and kind of muddy after swimming and running around in the mud at a doodle romp a couple of years ago.  Jack Doodle was at this romp, too, but he's oddly clean in all of the pictures.

Leslie, I would definitely say Halas is a little bit muddy....LOL! They do have fun in all that mud and water, don't they??

So... a couple days ago Izzy dug a hole and got dirt all over the patio. It's been raining for the past 2 days here. Today I hosed down the patio so I wouldn't step in her mud. She snuck back outside, redug the hole, ran through the house splattering mud and paw prints all over the kitchen and my carpets. I hosed her again, and the patio....

this is what she looked like before hosing #2. She couldn't sneak into the house this time!!!!!

Oh Boy, Izzy...that is quite a mess you made there. She doesn't really look that upset....LOL!
This picture was taken an hour after a full groom!
