Sometimes things are so funny and unexpected that you just have to share.
A few days ago my DH started a converstion with "I have to tell you what I did today and I really hope no one was watching". I was almost afraid to hear what he was going to say next. The story continued like this, " While I was at the golf course today walking with Quincy he was having problems with snowballs stuck to his paws. He had one that was really bothering him and he would stop every few steps and try to chew it off. Quincy couldn't seem to get rid of it so I tried to pick it off for him. I tried to get it off with my fingers but I couldn't get it either, so I took a quick look to make sure no one was watching and then I picked up his paw and chewed it off myself". OMD, I couldn't quite believe he had just said that, I found myself practically falling on the floor from laughing. When I finally stopped laughing I said " You know I am going to write a blog about this because it is just too funny to keep to myself". He just smiled, I think he already knew when he told me that his secret wasn't going to be so secret anymore.
Do you have funny stories of things that you have done for your doodles that would make other people say, "I can't believe you did that? If so please share your stories here, I promise not to tell, your secret is safe with me. :>)

Jennifer I can't believe how much our doodle girls are alike!!! I promise I won't tell either! hee hee!!
I can't remember the last time I went to the bathroom alone. Both doodles think that I'm sitting there just to pet them. They are standards so they aren't on my lap but stiiiill.
OMD, I have NOT enjoyed a nice quiet alone time in the bathroom ever since we took the baby gates down for Monty. Fortunately, I don't have an 80 pound doodle on my lap while sitting on the crapper, but still. He is sitting or laying down right next to me. And forget having a shower behind a closed door and not freezing my butt off (literally)! Okay, don't tell this to anyone, but there were times when I actually had to get out of the shower, all soaped up, just to open the door for Mr. Monty who was raising hell behind the closed door. You would think somebody is torturing the poor guy. Ever since then I learned not to close the door to the bathroom completely. Every time I get in the shower I can bet the door will fly open within a couple of minutes and I will have an additional cream colored bathroom rug all stretched out in front of my shower door (and will freeze my butt off as soon as I step out of the shower).
Exact same thing with my Shelby.... door closed/cracked - nope - wide open and a fuzzy bathmat right outside the shower door.
Ha,ha....too funny! Your secret is safe with me. Uh huh.
my doodles always come visit in the bathroom. Kitty too. Unless I'm getting ready to shower, and then they steer clear.
Yes, they think you are just sitting there, why waste your time when you could be petting them while you just sit there.
