Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I was looking around on the net and found a breeder that has blue eyed Goldendoodles. They claim to be the only ones with blue eyed GD,s.Wont most of the puppies eyes turn from blue to some other darker color? They charge more for a blue eyed GD than the other colors.I wonder if they give some money back if the puppies eyes dont stay blue.LOL.I really like the blue eyes but ive heard that the breeder is not so good.Health and temperment is obviously more important than eye color.Does anyone have a blue eyed doodle?I would love to see pictures.

Jared -
You were clear in your post. I guess when that particular breeder was brought up - the red flag went up also. This caused many of us to post warnings.
you posted my image without my permission. Copyright infringement. Remove my photo.
Furthermore, you and other members have posted fabricated statements about me on this forum. All of you are violating DK terms of service. I've filed an abuse complaint.
Yes and you also should know more about copyright infringement laws and know you've violated them by posting my photo here on this website. You should also know that doodlekisses is in violation of furthering a smear campaign and is in violation of copyright infringement by hosting my images on this website. She is also causing a loss of sales for my business because I found THIS derogatory information by googling MY business and my personal name . So I am taking this printed content to my attorney in the morning so he can view this content. I highly recommend the entire thread disappear and I intend to get to the bottom of whom started the thread. I hope Jared, you didn't intend to incite this smear campaign but I do know in fact, "doodle kisses" should know better. They are, in fact, in charge of this site and Im filing a complaint.
I know what you posted.. I filed a complaint and the content will be taken to my attorney's office in the morning.
Mine was born with green but has changed to a hazel-greenish color now. So beautiful :)
Hi, Jared!
Cosmo's eyes were green when he was a little puppy, but now they are a beautiful warm amber color. Cosmo is a multigen ALD.
It seems to me that eyes that stay green or blue into adulthood are pretty rare in labradoodles and goldendoodles. It seems that Aussiedoodles (Australian shepherd-poodle cross) are more likely to have blue eyes that stay blue--perhaps because of the Aussie in the mix.
Just a thought. I'm not an expert by any means, but isn't genetics interesting?
There are no blue eyes in Poodles but we sometimes see very light green/yellow eyes that are called ghost eyes. They are highly undesirable. There have been reports of Labs and Goldens with blue eyes as puppies but they tend to darken to a green as the dogs get older. Ultra light eyes in all these breeds seem to be caused by doubling up on a dilution gene of some sort. In Labs the dogs with this Ultra Light pigment are called Dudleys. In both Labs and Poodles, a cream/yellow dog with liver/pink pigment and corresponding light eyes is a disqualifying fault. There are no known health issues with this color patterning, but continuing to breed dilute to dilute can increase the incidents of in color dilution alopecia. I know this HAS been seen in Doodles.
BTW... That is one sickly looking puppy that does not even look like a Poodle/Retriever/Spaniel mix. Oh and double yuck to the picture of the breeder!
Well Google is your best friend. Color dilution alopecia is a complicated disorder. You can look it up and read more about it.
In Poodles we call dogs born with color dilution alopecia Bluebells. When they are born, they are gunmetal Blue color (unlike Blue poodles who are born Black but clear). The color is lovely but unfortunately it comes with a host of skin and health issues. Bluebell Poodles never develop a true Poodle coat and end up with a scruffy sort of rough/ half bald Terrier look. Bluebells are usually put down at birth because it can be hard to find homes who are willing to provide the necessary lifelong care that these dogs require.
I know at least one Doodle breeder has produced a Bluebell because she posted about it on a breeder forum.
Oh there are "better" images of blue eyed Goldendoodles ? really ? Please locate images of blue eyed Goldendoodles and post them here Jared. I want to see the images that you can LOCATE of a TRUE blue eyed Goldendoodle beyond the age of 12 weeks ! Please POST Goldendoodle photos that are 12 wk old Goldendoodle PUPPY OR ADULT Goldendoodles (NOT AUSSIE doodles) that did NOT come from my website ; facebook; Flickr; photobucker or somewhere over the internet that did NOT come from my dogs' lineage. I'll wait.
Excuse me Carol ???? Sickly looking ??? There is NO Spaniel in my Goldendoodles at all !!!!! Would you like to lay down some money on your BET little missy through a DNA test ?????? My Goldendoodles are Goldendoodles with NO spaniel. That Goldendoodle is very healthy for your information and turned out to become a beautiful dog! How dare you.
The little dog might have some Yorkie in it.
