I am very confused with something.  Why is it every single time I order pictures it gives me a crop warning, and it crops off a portion of all of my pictures.  It doesn't matter what resolution I use, how may pixels, or eve what camera I use.

I do not like this because it cuts off way too much of my photos.  Anyone know how to avoid this from happening.

Oh, and this is happening on both photos that I cropped previously and those I hadn't cropped myself.

I have never used Costco. I use Shutterfly for all my photos and have had few problems.
With shutterfly, you have to order them and they mail them to you?  I really like the "pick up in an hour" option, but not if my pictures are not going to come out looking nice.  This batch came out so dark.
Yes, you order them on your computer and they mail them to you. It is pretty quick and I get emails all the time for 50 free prints. Also, when you sign up with them, I think you automatically get 50 free prints. Might be worth a try. Good luck!

I've used both and I agree with you Jane.  It's frustrating that Costco has that feature but to be honest I've run into it before with various drug store chains.

I love shutterfly!  And Laurie is right....you honestly get bonus emails all the time making them a super great deal.  They come VERY fast so I don't think you'll miss the "in an hour" option much at all :).  I've never been disappointed with Shutterfly.

Thanks for the information.  I guess I will order a set from Shutterfly and see what happens.  They may be my new photo processors.
DITTO Laurie-I always get emails for free photo books and stuff too!!
Have you talked with someone at the photo department or, if that doesn't work, call Costco's customer service. I haven't had any problems with any prints in the past but, then, I haven't had a requirement to have many printed lately. My computer, however, contains all my pictures for years--think I hear it groaning now :)
Hey, you guys actually order pics - I should try that....LOL. Mine are locked in that old broken computer.
Oh my, people still order pictures? I just use my computer, iphone or TV screen to play slide shows anymore. I have boxes of photo albums we never even look at. Interesting. But I had used shutterfly a few years ago and loved them.
Before digital I used Costco a lot.  Good prices and nice prints. Now I don't have too many prints made, however the last time I did I also got the crop warning, so I talked to one of the Costco reps in the photo center and he explained that it was the setting in my camera that was causing the problem.  Not being to tech savvy, and since I don't print many photos,  I decided to just go on as usual.  That being said -- talk to one of the photo center people, they are really very helpful.  My new task is having all of my old 35mm film scanned and put on CD.
This happens at Sam's club too-thanks for posting, my last batch was the same way. I will ask them next time before I order again.
