so my sister has a standard poodle..toy poodle..and lhasa apso.. and her dogs cant waittttt to go to bed with her (that sounds wrong lol) they stand at the top of the stairs wagging their tails and walking towards her bedroom and then back..almost to lure her to bed.. Midas will be 8 months old and he goes to bed with us..but its like putting a little kid to bed..he isnt always ready for bed..he will be chewing his bone and jump on the bed off the bed on the bed off the bed.. and finally fall asleep...do all dogs eventually love bed time? and if so at what age to the like to go to bed for the night?
also will ur dog stay in bed with u til like 1030am if u sleep in one day without having to be let out at like 7/8 am?

Mine are 2 and 6 years old and they are pretty zonked out at 9pm...crashed on the floor in the living room with me/us. Sometimes one of them will sneak off to the bedroom to go to bed on his dog bed.
In late October, when I stayed up late getting DK Calendars ready for release, Rosco stayed with me, but he was all antsy, kept standing up and staring at me, shifting, yawning, smacking his lips like a toothless old man...just being odd and all his noises were kind of annoying. I realized later after talking with Clark that he was antsy because I was staying up late and he wanted me to come to bed. His schedule and routine was thrown for a loop and he didn't know what to do with his Adina up so late =)
My two constantly look at the closed door and nose it to go to bed. If DH is in bed first, sometimes one or the other will join him, but they do wait for me usually. If I get off the couch for a drink or to get something, when I come back they will be standing at the bedroom door and looking up at me like, are we going to bed now???? Poor DH get's so shuffled around whe we all do finally come to bed, as I race to my side before Kona takes it LOL
Luna gets VERY excited for bedtime. She often takes herself to bed at around 8:30, comes back down at 9:00 when we snuggle for TV time and then when we say "Bed time!" after our snuggle time she wags all the way upstairs. She then gets about 5 minutes of snuggle time on the bed, after which she takes herself to "her"room where she sleeps most of the night on a futon.
Bodi loves to go to bed. He takes a toy to bed, so I know when he is ready. He stands in front of me with the toy and wags away! He will then go to bed with me for an hour or so, then he returns to my DH in the living room.
And we normally get up at 5:15 and yes, he will sometimes "sleep in" until 7:30. (good luck with that - it doesn't happen often!)
Jake - YES! Baxter.....NO : ( plus he wants to get up very early because each new day means another whole day to tease the kitty : (
Gavin will usually remain in our bedroom until both of us get up in the morning. If one of us gets up early he stays put, but the minute the other gets up (even if it's an hour later) up he gets to start the day. Sometimes he will get up quickly with the first person, relieve himself and go back to the end of the bed. He started sleeping in more after about one year of age.
My guys don't sleep in our beds...they sleep in their own beds in our room. They would not sleep until 10:30....LOL, I'm thinking that was a joke. They are hungry and need to go to the bathroom in the morning. I don't think dogs really "love bedtime". They sleep when they are tired, but I don't they're really thinking..."woo hoo", bed time!
I don't know if Finnley loves bed time, but after that last outing of the night she always heads upstairs, with her stuffed Christmas Elf in her mouth and reports to the bedroom !
P.S. I usually try to go to bed by 10:00 P.M. and she is still happy to stay in bed until 7, or 8 A.M. (I am up first earlier) She isn't a morning doodle at all I have discovered. I have to almost force her to go out some mornings !
