Cocoa sleeps with her eyes open... in fact I have never seen her with her eyes shut. Is this unusual or do most dogs sleep with their eyes open? I seem to remember my childhood dog (a collie) sleeping with her eyes shut.
My dogs sleep with their eyes shut. I'd think you'd have to worry about corneal drying if her eyes are always open. Does she blink in her sleep? Are her eyes wide open or just a little bit open?
I'm not sure if she blinks when she's sleeping- I'll have to look and see. She blinks when she's awake, of course. She sleeps with her eyes wide open- I have never seen her sleep with her eyes shut since we brought her home at 8 weeks.
Darwin mainly sleeps with his eyes shut, but on occasion he will sleep with his eyes half open. Does she sleep with her eyes completely open? It does seem like that would dry out here eyes...
wow--I have never heard of that--seems like their may be an issue with lids? Her eyes are wide open? That is very interesting and I have no idea why that would occur. If you find out, let us know!
Gavin always sleeps with his eyes open. I think however that the inner lid is black and it is closed - so it looks like his eyeballs aren't covered, but they are. The furry outer lid however, is never closed.
Charli and Mickey do. When I take a picture of them sleeping in a cute pose or something, their eyes have the light reflecting off them! Very erry!!
They look just like Quinn's! WTD??
I'm glad to know that Cocoa isn't the only one! Her eyes are definitely open- I can see her pupils. They are not even half opened- they are completely open like she is awake. Quin looks so sleepy and relaxed in your picture...
Gaston-Cramer sleeps with his eyes absolutely closed shut! He sleeps like a log too! Nothing seems to disturb his zzz's. We remark on it all the time! LOL
