Ms Lilo rounded up all her bones from various baskets around the house and arranged them on the floor in a semi circle pattern. She then circled her display, went back to one of the baskets and found a blue bone-looking toy, which she then dropped in the middle of her creation. When she was done, she came over and nudged me, so I had to take a picture:
What could this mean??? I have no idea what she was up to, but she looked pretty smug.
I have to say that this is absolutely incredible. I would bet that she pretty much does everything but talk to you . What a smart girl. I think her point is very well made. She wants some NEW BONES for heavens sakes. Run, don't walk to your nearest pet supply store to repenish her supply! I think she needs a fresh supply.
She is an intelligent dog for sure. However, she loses interest in new bones very quickly and never finishes them (as is obvious from the picture). If she can get away with it, she buries the half finished bones in the yard instead, just like in the cartoons :)
Count your blessings that it's bones she's burying. We had a Lab whose life work was to bury shoes. Can't tell you how many single shoes were in my closet. We found them buried in the yard for years after he passed away. Needless to say our "doggie door" was short lived.

I think this is kinda like a little girl with all her favorite Barbies, or a little boy with all his special Hot Wheels and they line them up in a special way just to admire what they have. Oh, and to let you know they are greatful for it.
