Doodle Coats

Does a doodle (golden doodle) coat ever change from wavy to straighter?  I have a 6 month old and I'm just curious.

My doodles coat just got more wavey/curly as he got older. He's a bernedoodle but I don't think that makes a huge difference. He started out as a giant puff ball and now has a mix of curls and waves.

I haven't ever met a doodle that got straighter as it matured. It can look straighter as it gets longer.

My golden doodle got a lot curlier. Her main coat was pretty straight in the beginning. You can check out my pics on my page. I have a lot of the early ones labeled by how old she was.

My doodle got wavier and curlier as he got older. He started out pretty straight and fuzzy.

As mine got older, he went from fluffy muppet coat to tight curly poodle coat.
