Doodle in a NC high kill shelter!

She's a chocolate female about 2-4 years old, and she looks so sad to be in one of the worst high kill shelters in North Carolina. This shelter kills EVERY animal in their facility EVERY Wednesday.

 

There is a doodle backyard breeder somewhere in Harnett County that keeps breeding and dumping dogs at the shelter where they are killed if they aren't pulled or rescued. It makes me so angry!!!!

The lady with the chocolate doodle had something come up, and so I will be getting her tomorrow. I think this messes up the doodle train!!

Michael....I should be able to help most any day this week with the Charlotte to Greenville leg of the train.  I haven't heard back yet from Jacquie yet so I don't know if there's a need still.  Just let us know and we'll do whatever we can to help :)

We will probably still need you. I just received a text message from the lady with the doodle, and she says her lab isn't getting along with the doodle and she needs to meet me tomorrow morning. However, I work tomorrow until 6pm.

Ok.  I'll keep Monday open and wait to hear from you all.  If it's going to be one of the other days of the week I may have to do some juggling but as long as the time of day is flexible we should be good :)

Wonderful! It would be Monday. I don't want to keep her at my house too long since she'd have to be crated for much of the day, isolated from my dogs.

Don't forget chocolate girl can stay at my vet if need be.  I will pay for boarding her if that is what we need to do until we can get the train rolling from Raleigh.

Carole, there is no longer a need for the doodle train. The chocolate dood is going to be on a flight in Salisbury, NC tomorrow morning.

 

I'm going to have to drive her out there so she can make the 9:30 AM flight, and it's more than 2 hours from me. I'm slightly unhappy about it, but it's got to be done.

Thank you so much Michael for letting me know.  I have not heard back from Jacquie York since she and I spoke last night.I knew they were having trouble securing transport from RDU to CLT.  I was awaiting her call this morning to let me know one way or another but I gather this must have been in the works as I never heard back from her.  I truly appreciate you keeping me informed.  You are a lovely young woman.

Carole, where are you located? Can you meet Michael half way so she doesn't have to do this all herself tomorrow?  Just a thought.  If I didn't have to work I would take her.

Yes, thanks Michael for posting about the plane.  I was waiting to hear back from Jacquie last night as well.  I wanted to take her for two weeks and then drive her to Frannie.   I am glad she will be OK.  Thank you for finding her, getting her from Fayetteville lady and taking her to the plane.  You are an amazing young woman.
