Hi all! Bernie is my first Doodle, my first large breed dog actually, so I'm hoping you all may have a little advice for me. I'm trying to figure out how big he'll get - not that it matters too much - but I just want to prepare myself. People see his feet and say "wow, he's gonna be big." His father is a medium-sized Australian Labradoodle, about 35 lbs, but his mother is a multi-gen standard Labradoodle, about 75 lbs. Bernie is 4 months old today and 33 lbs.
If any of you with adult Labradoodles remember what your puppy weighed in at around 4 months I'd appreciate your feedback!

Hi Amy! I'm dealing with the same thing right now :) Marley will be 4 months on Tueday and is also my first doodle, although she is a Goldendoodle. Just to give you an idea... Marley is only 23 pounds! I think Bernie will be a 'little' bigger than Marley!!! From what I have found on this fabulous site, take his weight, double it and give or take 10 pounds. So... Maybe 70 or so? I'm sure you are enjoying Bernie as much as I enjoy Marley!
Thank you all! My husband of course thinks the bigger the better, but as his primary walker and disciplinarian I feel better knowing what I'm getting into!
I'd say a big doodle. When we got Gus, the breeder told us he'd be about 55 lbs. His dad was a small standard poodle about 45 lbs, and his mom was a big silver lab. Yea, he took after his mom, he weighs 85 lbs, and he's 2 now.
We got our first doodle in April. Pagan was 9 weeks and 18 lbs. Booth parents are 45-50 lbs, so we figured she would be too. At 3 months- 21 lbs, 4 months- 30 lbs, 6 months, 54 lbs, and no body fat. 7 months- around 70 lbs. The vet told us to expect her to be between 100-130 lbs when she is full grown. All we can say is good thing we have 20 acres for her to run on.
