I think I'm beginning to learn that I may be just a little Doodle Spoiled!  Lucy and Sophie were by no means angels, but I'm seeing something with Miss AnnaBelle that I did not have to deal with with either Lucy or Sophie and that is the trail of water from the water bowl.  I never had an issue with this at all.  Not even a drop of water on the floors with Lucy or Sophie.  I have had fosters that were an issue, but Miss AnnaBelle, Oh My Goodness.  She is like a Swiffer wet mop and someone just keep pushing the spray button.  I could wait till she has a drink and then I could mop the kitchen floor.  She can drop water clear into the next room.  It has become a standing joke to say, Oh, AnnaBelle had a drink, as you are getting out the paper towels to clean up the floor.  I'm trying to figure out what it is?  Why is it so bad with her and never an issue with Lucy and Sophie.  They all have beards.  Does it have something to do with the hair type?  Or is AnnaBelle sticking her face deeper? or ?  With one of my fosters I just kept a towel laying there and when I would hear him drinking I would go over and wipe off his face.  Miss AnnaBelle caught on to the papertowel and what it was for after the first time and any time she sees a paper towel in my hand she takes off in the other direction.  (Obviouslly that is a training issue and we will get there).  I'm just curious why some dribble none and others dribble everywhere?  Any thoughts?

I'm truly surprised that you have not had this issue with Lucy and Sophie before. Trails of water drops are very common in our kitchen. That's where the boys' Neater Feeder are. It's the only area that does not have carpet. So I see water drops all over the floor. I guess the carpets in the other rooms soak up the remaining drops, LOL.

Auggie used to "swim" in his water bowl when he was little. I have not seen him do that to his indoor water bowl for a while, though. So I'm pretty sure it's just their beards and tongues. I got used to that and I don't even rush to wipe their faces after they have a drink. I just wipe the floor when it's too much.

However, I almost sprained my ankle the other day on a dog drool in the kitchen. I was getting some treats out for the boys and Monty's Niagara droolfalls kicked in before I gave him the treat. Later on I slipped pretty badly so now I'm careful to look for drool lakes in the kitchen. They are VERY slippery!!!

OMD Jarka, Drool Lakes. We have the same thing here when I am handing out treats! It's amazing the amount of drool our two produce waiting for a little spoonful of peanut butter! And, yes, they are very, very slippery! How do they produce so much?

Halas isn't normally a drooler, but he was drooling like crazy when I was trying to give him his pain meds.  I guess it tastes pretty gross, because he would drool a bunch, and then shake his head to spray drool and the medicine all over the place.  I was wiping it up, too.  It's tough to deal with a drooler when you haven't had to before.  My friends used to have a really drooly boxer, and they would just hand you a towel when you walked into their house.

Hahaha! Daphne has never dripped anything, she is a very neat drinker (and eater). Very prissy! Then there's Lucy. She is the messiest drinker! I have tried having her beard cut really short, it just doesnt seem to make a difference. I think maybe there is something to what Karen said. Daphne is F1b so she has more of a poodle coat. Lucy is F1. I know they are both thinking I'm a crazy lady as I just had them both with their paws on my knee so I could inspect  their beards. They both look the same and are about the same length, but boy, Lucy is just a messy drinker. She is such a big lovebug that I have to overlook it!

Oh yes, I shave Kona's beard completely off. It doesn't help one bit. Drips everywhere.

Charlie makes such a wet mess! It's all over. I don't wear socks on my floors anymore... they just get wet.

He'll come up to me after drinking and want to lick my leg. Just like "wet willies" except this is a "Chilling Charlie"- usually it's a surprise!

Vern is a disaster when it comes to drinking :) Everywhere....all over the place...especially right after I mop. Fudge is the neatest little Doodle. Who knows. I just think Vern is a slob...LOL!

Meg drinks, drips through the kitchen and then finds me and lays her head on my lap to dry off!  Note to self, keep a small towel in lap at all times.
