Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi there,
Im new to this website/forum so nice to meet everybody:). I was just curious as to how peoples doodles react to the christmas tree. It is going to be our first christmas with Fozzy who is 4 months old now. Can anybody give me any advice please? We don't want to have to forego the christmas tree but we are a bit concerned that Fozzy may take a liking to it and either 1: destroy the ornaments and branches 2: be scared of it or 3: pull it down just for fun!. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated x

Our tree was in jail for the first two years we had the girls. We opted for a small table top several years ago so this worked out great to just put the fence around it. I really don't think they would have bothered it anyway as they have never really been all that curious for things like that. I would have worried more (and still would) if it were a floor tree and out in the open rather than in the corner like this one. Do a search on Christmas trees and I'm guessing you will find similar discussions from years past because this is something most of us have worried about at one time!
Ha,ha,ha---the tree in jail....love it!
last year I did a table top tree and blocked it off. I was looking for something like you used. Is it a pen or something else and where did you get it.
It is one of the ex pens that is like 8 panels and you can put it in any shape you like. We got it at Petsmart. It is the best thing we bought when the girls were little. We were able to use it to confine Lucy when she had her CCL surgery, we used it to block off the front door when we had fosters so there were no accidental escapes. We've used it when we traveled and they were little. Don't remember how much but it wasn't that expensive.
that's what I thought it looked like. thanks
That is adorable and so funny! The looks on their faces say it all!
Glad you posted this- we have a 6 month old and I am curious as to what to expect as well. Years ago our lab puppy ate all the ornaments off the bottom. We still have some with her teeth marks.
When Darwin was a puppy he was totally fine around the tree, unless we left him alone for a while... then we realized (from his glittery poo) that he was eating some of the glitter twigs off the tree. So we just watched him very closely and it stopped. Now he just regards it with casual interest and leaves it alone.
What a great picture.
Ahh, glittery poo ... that would make the yard decorated for Christmas! It would be so much nicer picking up glittery poo!
Such a awesome picture - love it !
