DRC will be on CBS Early Show 6/9/10 at 8:30am EST

DRC (Doodle Rescue Collective) has been asked to participate in the CBS Early Show at 8:30am EST tomorrow! They will be celebrating the beauty of mixed breed dogs to coincide with the AKC allowing mixed breed dogs to participate in events such as agility but not beauty. They will have a small "beauty contest" of the local adoptable rescue dogs and the commentators will try to identify their breed mixes. Our very own PENELOPE and her foster mom, Patty Travaglino of CT will participate in the show!!! They will also post on their network website the contact information for the rescue groups in the "Beauty Contest." Let's all set your DVRs and TiVos to record our favorite doodle rescue group and further the education on the beauty of our favorite "hybrid" dogs!!!

Harry Smith was smitten with our girl Nelly! We had a ball. It was a great opportunity for DRC and I thoroughly enjoyed looking behind the scenes at a TV show. The studio was smaller than I'd imagined. The producer for this segment is a dog rescuer (she volunteers at a shelter) and was kind and gracious. The hosts were all delightful, especially Harry who was very understanding about why Nelly wouldn't leave my side to go on camera solo with him. Here she is looking at me off-camera at the end of the show:

You were awesome.....Penelope was a perfect Doodle role model, and does she ever love her foster Mommy! I've watched it back several times already. I've always liked Harry....not I love this guy! I wonder how many applications DRC will get after this....and hopefully some $$$$ too.
