email notifications

Can anyone explain why in the last hour i started getting notifications for every new discussion started? I dont want these and have always had it set up to NOT receive them So why now and what do i have to do to stop it? thanks

Yup 3200+ and my computer crashed today so they are all on my iPhone! Arrgh!

Mine crashed too. I have it down to 800 something now, just deleting, I hate that I may be missing something important (or funny) but I have to get this inbox cleared. Aarrgggh!

Exactly the same scenario here with several crashes. I did screen the vast majority and it was a pain.

I'm so sorry.  I really don't know what is causing it.  I know I've had tech support working on it ever since we kept going from NO notifications, to this, to NO notifications and now back to this again.  I wish I could stop them for you.

I hope the tech people have figured it out this time. They surely must make some records of the fixes and how to avoid the problem.

Although it may not have affected all the sites they support, it is a Ning issue.

Interesting. I have a mail address in addition to Gmail and that mail just went down. Arghhh.

I got them too--I think for a while I wasn't getting them at all, so maybe that got fixed and it was "catching up?"
