No, the dyes do not harm them and the weird cuts are not harmful in any way.  My dogs would love to stand for this type of attention, but I do not have the patience to do anything like this.  But....to take photos, oh yeah!

I'd love to know what happens when one of these dogs (the clown or Pluto, for example) happens to catch himself in the mirror! They probably terrify themselves.  I'd be having nightmares for weeks.
