He is adorable!!!
Linda, was the genetic test performed using saliva or  blood?
It used a brush to get the cheek cells which would be great on Murphy but not an 8 wk old pup. Since I do DNA/RNA work all the time, I questioned if I had enough cells and why they didn't ask for blood.

That sounds like a similar test to the test we used on Tara. I was told by the testing company that the more generations of mixing of breeds in a dog the less accurate the test becomes. For instance a golden/poodle first cross would yield an accurate result but dogs such as the ALD in Tara's case or perhaps Finnegan too often produce unreliable results. That was how Tara ended up being 1/4 Puli even though her lineage is well documented and doesn't have a Puli in sight anywhere!!

I too was curious about what result we would get if I sent in a second sample!

Sooo cute! Not sure I believe that the DNA tests are real (my vet daughter says they are totally bogus...) but it doesn't really matter--he is handsome no matter what!

Me either Ginny. I wonder if I send them a second sample what I would get.

Since I do DNA/RNA work all the time (looking for viral mutations in different tissues. 1-2 base pair differences)

I know it is possible,,,,but...

wow what a mix! so cute!
Holy cow. That's a crazy mix. I love Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, Huskies and Schnauzers. I don't even know what a Weimaraner is. He's so cute though.
My DS has an 9 month old Weim puppy. That is the one thing I didn't want! lol
Can we make him an honourary doodle anyway?
My vote is YES !!!
For sure!
