Fruit Loving Doodle

Just wanted to throw out there that my golden doodle has a particular love for treats that are fruit. There is not one fruit, with the exception of ones harmful to dogs (grapes, avocado etc) that she does not love to eat. Thought it was kind of funny and was curious, anybody else have this experience with their doodles?

Cantaloupe is the greatest gift you can give Dexter followed closely by watermelon.  Now if you excuse me I must make a trip to the grocery store because I am suddenly craving a nice fruit salad!!!

Oh yes, Gracie love her fruit too!  Pineapple and watermelon seem to be her favorites.  I freeze blueberries and use them to stuff her Kongs.

Both of ours love all food, and I can't tell if they love fruit more than anything else. They get a vast variety of every food imaginable and they never leave a drop of any kind behind. I tend to use veggies as treats more than fruits due to the sugars, but they do get some type of fruit, apples, bananas, blueberries, froz strawberries, cranberries, and watermelon just about everyday. There are a variety of fruits added to most brands of kibble as well.

Yep, Eloise has never met a fruit or vegetable she didn't like!  She especially loves blueberries and apples, and always waits patiently for a lettuce leaf when I'm making a salad.  She even loves spinach and broccoli.  Such a good little toddler!  :) 

Just gave Beasley her first little carrot tonight.  Much like the first time Eloise eats anything new, she spit it out onto the floor, trying to figure out what to do with it.  But she paused too long, because Eloise watched her investigate the carrot, then swooped in and took the carrot out from under Beasley's nose.  You snooze, you lose, puppy girl!

Milo is the same way about fruit. LOVES all of them. He has to have a bite of my banana every morning and if he hears someone cutting an apple he comes running from the other end of the house! He would eat fruit over most anything!
