I remember roughly 2 years ago, being a new doodle mommy, wondering how big my little baby was eventually going to be when he was full grown., around 2-3 years old. I went by the 4 months old x 2 +/- 10 pds theory for a rough estimate and just waited for time to tell. Our breeder guesstimated about 60-65 pds.

Well Murphy is almost 3, and has been about 62 pounds for over a year. He was 27 pounds at 4 months so the formula held true for us.

Bella was 29 pds at 4 months as is already about 60 pds at 14 months. I expect she will be a little bigger than Murphy over the next year, but not much.

_What weights have your grown up doodles all ended up being as "full -grown"? THis could also hejo our new puppu owenrs get a good esimate 0f what expect. Good night,Sue

Cooper is like Murphy - she was 27lbs at 4 months and now is 61lb (a couple lbs is perhaps fur!!!) at 2 1/2
At 16 weeks Lucy and Sophie were just about the same weight, with Lucy being 1/2 lb heavier at 23.5 lbs.  However, she then took off and started leaving Sophie behind.  At 3.5 years, Lucy is now approximately 77 lbs and Sophie is 57 lbs.  According to the formula they should have been around 56 - 57 lbs.  Their bone structure is very different.  I always sort of say that in football Sophie would be the punter or running back and Lucy would be the linebacker.

Brenna was 22 lbs on 8/18 and now she is 31 as of yesterday. She's not a pig eater, she eats until she is full then walks away from her bowl. I guess I'm doing something right.
