How bad is Kirkland brand dog food? I know it's mass produced but lamb, and lamb bi-products are the first two ingredients listed. We do also supplement with fresh veggies. We switched to an organic food (blue buffalo) a couple of months ago and that's when the girls got sick. Unrelated for sure but we went back to Kirklands because they were used to it (from the breeder) and we hoped it would help neutralize things.

Wow, thx. I did briefly read over this website and another one that says that the problem with Kirkland brand food is the synthetic vitamin K. BAD, BAD, STUFF and there's actually no reason to add it. I feel kind of sick right about now. I hope I can correct this before they both suffer something unnecessary.

Thanks again for such an informative post.
I am a member Nancy, I need to get on there and really explore some of those threads.  I also posted this discussion there.  Thanks SOOOO much for all of your feedback.  This is a great place to be.  So much information.

No silly.....You responded here (discussing doodley things)...this isn't the food group.  You couldn't have known that I was a member.  I posted on both threads to get more responses. That was a totally valid suggestion. Thank you again. I loved your replies.

Doodle hugs.

Then you were REALLY looking out for me, haha. Thanks again.
I have hardly read anything bad about Fromm, or that any of our dogs are having any ill effects from it. I am going back to it now that I know they have ALS food. My Pet Club doesn't carry it so I have to special order Fromms so I never see the selection. When I asked on DK I got the information I needed to know what to ask for. If you are going to switch, it appears Fromm's and Orijen have the favorite votes here.
