To All: With the heat advisory in effect all NJSPCA Officers and Investigators are required to stop at any parking lot they are passing between cases to look for animals left in vehicles. With 20,000 of you here that means we have an additional 40,000 eyes (again assuming you all have two eyes, sorry pirates) to also watch for animals in cars. The heat can be deadly........Capt

Not just pro-active, but they have a sense of humor, too!

Cap always has a fantastic sense of humor! He has sarcastic and dry humor that I just love following him on FB!

He is the one that has been pushing for the foster family of the pitbull puppy that was tossed down the trash shoot in Newark, NJ to be allowed to adopt him. (There is a court battle of fools that want him for themselves and to take him the from the family that has devoted months to helping him rehab - another group of stupid humans.)

WhooHoo! nj!

Saw on the news this morning 2 sad stories, but with happy endings...One from Maplewood where a man left his dog in the car for hours while he went to a community swimming pool.  Dog was saved and charges are being filed against the owner.  Second story was from Newark where a dog was rescued after suffering heat stroke from being kept outside in a cage with no water for 6 hours.  Unfortunately, it looks like the NJSPCA will be very busy the next few days, but they are certainly doing a good job protecting these poor pets from their disgusting owners!

Awesome !

A must read for this weather:
