I guess this is the best place to make this announcement, but Groucho Too has cancer.  He has been kind of going downhill the last month and we thought it was from eating poop on a trail out in San Benito County.  We got some meds and antibiotics for that and he rather perked up for a while.  The last week he has not been wanting to jump in or out of the vehicles and yesterday he did not want to do his usual "pancake hunt".  He had problems doing a roll over and would not stand up on the banister or tree to get his pancake.  We took him to the vet and she thought at first he had been poisoned, but when the x-rays and blood work came back that did not seem indicated.  The x-rays showed fluids in his abdomen and when they were extracted with a needle, there was blood in the fluids.  They wanted us to take him to the emergency vet last night, but we brought him home and took him back this morning for surgery.  When they opened him up, he had a large cancerous tumor that had ruptured on his spleen and more nodes of cancer on his liver.  They gave him about two months.  So, we will enjoy the little time we have left with Groucho Too.  Thanks for your concern and just give your dogs some extra love for all of us.

Oh Lynda....my heart just aches for you. Your, your family and Groucho will be in my thoughts and Prayers. Loving and hugging on Enzo extra hard.
Lynda, may I ask how old is Groucho?

Groucho Too will be eight in March.  His father died at seven years of bloat, so we were worried that he had the same thing.  Turned out to be cancer.  We can live with that.  It is good to know exactly what the problem was.

Oh Lynda I am so sorry to hear this terrible news.  I can't imagine what you are going through.  Best thought to you and your family and Groucho Too as you go through this sad time.

This is so sad, Lynda. I'm so sorry this is happening to all of you. You're wise to cherish the moments you have.

I am so sorry to read this.  Besides giving him lots of love, take lots of pictures to remember your time together.

Oh, we have tons of photos.  I guess I will put something together later on.

I was thinking of these beautiful photos of families with their terminally ill pets.  Maybe something like this could be a special remembrance of his last days.

Deborah ~ I love this idea and recently took a "last photo" of my daughter and her beautiful malamute Bella who passed from spiral cell carcinoma.  I am so glad I did and we had it framed for her.

Lynda, I'm so very sorry to hear this. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Lynda, I am so sorry to hear this about Groucho Too. Keeping you all in thoughts. Hugs to you.
