The tumors are benign, but there were abnormal cells that could have turned into cancer down the road so we did a good thing getting it out. He's going to be fine but it doesn't look like this was the cause of the immune-mediated thrombocytopenia, so we're not out of the woods yet. More to come next week when I speak to the oncologist and find out more.

It was only a few short weeks ago that my vet clinic had me believing he was a goner and considering euthanasia. I'm so glad I took the step to consult a specialist. It cost a lot of money to get here, but my boy is well and going to be with me for a while yet. I couldn't be happier.

Yeah!  The heart specialist has given us two extra good years of life Roo.  Well worth the cost, but certainly is expensive.
