Happy half birthday, Riley!

Hello everyone!

My Muppet turns 6 months old tomorrow! I cannot believe how time has flown! I brought her to the groomer today for her last puppy bath and they threw in a free trim that should last through the winter. I think they felt bad because of how gapped her face looked after her last trim (3 weeks ago) because she wouldn't stay still =p  She did much better this time around though.

  My girl has changed so much in the three months since she came to live with us. Besides gaining 23 pounds and almost tripling in height, she has changed colors! She no longer has any black, but is now almost completely grey. She is still really soft but there is a white spot on her back with some wiry hair. Still no shedding (knock on wood) but we have to brush her daily because she will knot up if we skip a day (or two... I just started school! lol)

She is still very submissive to any dog she meets, and honestly I am hoping that changes because there is a chihuahua at the dog park that tries to show dominance and it scares Riley. (to the point that she will pee when he growls)  Anytime another dog even looks at her she lays down flat and army crawls to them! It's pretty comical and confuses the crap out of the little 3-5 pound dogs she encounters. They expect a big (compared to them) 40 pound dog to eat them and she just wants to  lick their mouth! The upside is she is also very submissive to any kid she meets. She even army crawled to a 1 year old little girl to lick her shoes. (remember that licking obsession I mentioned? it hasn't gone away either lol)

I hope everyone is doing well! I haven't posted much lately because of how busy school has made me, but I check up on your doodles regularly!

She is so beautiful!  My year + 53 pound male is still pretty submissive to other dogs, but much better than when he was a pup. He is just starting to bark, too.  Sometimes it's just to his own reflection in the glass, but it's a start!
