Yes, it is hard to watch, but things happen like this every day to our animal friends.  I just signed up as a volunteer at the SPCA to help with grooming and bathing pets who are surrendered or picked up on the streets.  There must be something I can do to make their lives more tolerable.

Thanks for sharing. We suspect that Barley's (my mom's dog) original owner died, and the family just dumped Barley in a nearby parking lot. It is really important to have a plan for your pets if something should happen to you. But Barley and this dog in the video seem like they had been loved before. So for the owners' families to dump or leave the dogs is just so disrespectful to the memory of the owner. I agree that the people who left this guy behind should be haunted.

Exactly....you would think if you loved that family member, the least you could do would be to see the animal they loved was taken care of in a loving way. So glad Barley got lucky!
