The HDA Award and New Medal Arrives in Fresno!

What a lovely, lovely package we received right before Christmas.  It seems Libby immediately knew it might be something for her and started sniffing and jumping up and down.  What a special box it turned out to be for many reasons!  It was the HDA Award and we couldn’t have received it from any one more special than Bonnie and Kona.  It contained the “new” HDA Medal and many wonderful gifts. It could not have come at a better time.  Our family had a lot of sadness and challenges during November & December and this truly brightened our day!  Libby, her Daddy, and I decided to have our own little HDA party!

Thank you Bonnie for the special Hawaiian goodies. The Oki Jerky Treats were a hit with Libby and the Chomper Gladiator bone is her MOST favorite toy of all.  She plays with it all the time and it is one of the few soft toys she has not destroyed.  The Poi Dog Shampoo, the Naupaka Body Lotion, the Macadamias, and the beautiful pocket mirror are so lovely and I appreciate your thoughtfulness.  I also learned I was the 50^th HDA member to receive this award and that alone is an honor.  Looking at all the previous winners makes me humble to be in this elite group of DK Members.  It was so fun to read the journal and brought me to tears at most of the postings.  I so enjoy Doodle Kisses and thank my sweet Libby for giving me the credentials to belong to the best site on the Internet!

Thanks so much Pat!  I was very proud to wear the Medal, although my "adult" (?) kids just didn't understand my excitement and joy!  LOL  Our granddaughters thought it was really cool!  Things already are getting better and thanks for your thoughtfulness.
