Hearts and dogs

I saw this on a sign and I really liked it so I thought I would share it.

 

It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart.  If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.

I just copied, pasted, and sent to myself - it's in my "Dogs" email folder.  I am going to write this in sympathy cards when friends and family lose their dogs.  Thank you for this - I love it. It is very appropriate.
