Hello Everyone,

I'm not sure if I should be concerned but today Dexter decided he'd jump onto the counter, pull back the foil covering the pan, and steal at least 3 or 4 cupcakes and devour them all.  They were vanilla with buttercream frosting (no chocolate) but there was a ton of icing on there.  Should I be worried at all?  Should I skip feeding him dinner this evening because he ate so many??

Absolutely! And let us know when you'll be at silver lake and if we can meet you we will!
Hope dexters poop turns from buttercream frosting back to normal today. :)

OMG - how cute is he?  I'm thinking the worst thing might be some runny poop but if he is hungrey for dinner - I'd give it to him.

Cutest Cupcake Caper here!

Awww, the face of guilt. I think he will be fine. Cute picture.

Dexter is one totally adorable cupcake snatcher.

I pretend nothing happened and hope for no reappearances of the cupcakes.

Gosh, Dexter's adorable! So white! Your post had me LMAO because Dexter could be Dudley's twin. I'm so glad to hear that I don't have the only doodle poacher on the planet! Having said that, I can only tell you that Dudley does not get sick from cupcakes, brownies, aluminum foil, plastic sandwich bags, or any other booty that he can yank off the kitchen counter. He may throw up the plastic, but otherwise the most interesting colors and textures appear in his stool. I can only hope that Dexter has a similar cast iron stomach. Yes, we have let such ill gotten "meals" substitute for his dinner sometimes, but other times decide he needs the nutrition. It depends a lot on how pissed off we are. Maybe someone else has a different answer, but after 5 1/2 years with Dudley Dood, we just roll with the punches while trying to remember to dogproof the kitchen.

Who left the cupcakes out? Woof, woof, woof, woof....;)

What a "sweet" little doodle thief

What a cute cookie thief!   Hope stealing treats doesn't become a habit!   We have to lock up all our goodies at night or we have to put up with the "midnight raids".

Jumped onto the counter! Sounds like agility training may be in his future - in addition to cupcake eating contests. And, he is one cute little boy....

Thank you for all of your replies!   Although he might look innocent, he was definitely the culprit!  He didn't get sick but he did have a slight case of the runs and it was bright yellow from the Buttercream frosting.  I hadn't realized his back legs were getting so tall to reach that far back on the counter but today we made sure that no food products were in reach!
