Camus got hold of a blue gel ink pen and within no time he had blue ink all over his face, tongue, paws. I called his vet and they said not to worry as long as he had not ingested any of the pen. He did not, but now how do I clean him up? Any suggestions?

Cute "Blue boy"!
I have no helpful suggstions, but he looks so adorable!!
He's a Smurf Doodle!
I wrote the same thing before I read your post....great minds think alike :)

You guys are too funny.  You made my evening!  Thank you for all of the suggestions and I am still laughing as I write...

I cleaned him up a bit here at work with dish soap, and will try some of your other suggestions at home this evening.  The carpet?  Well - I'll see how my boss feels about blue.

A Smurf Doodle....I love it !!

That is too cute!  Poor little guy - he probably just wanted to be a part of the typical office activities!

You know, I was watching National Geographic Channel or Animal Planet and they were talking about the fuss that goes into dog shows.  They mentioned something about the many bottles of hair spray that are used.  I thought that was interesting - I suppose they want some holding power to achieve the perfectly displayed coat.  Anyway, I am guessing that hairspray would be okay to use - if the "professionals" are using it on their prized puppies!  I think I would probably use it while bathing him at the same time - rinsing immediately with water.

Good luck!  I'm confident that you will find something that works.  Its just like the dyed hands after coloring easter eggs.  :)

OMG !! I, too had to crack up!!! Sorry for laughing but, I can't help it!!

Camus does not seem to mind a bit of punkish look at all!!

Campus you just put a smile on my face too!!  At least it wasn't a girl color like pink or something.  Maybe a  little of your doggie shampoo with a little baking soda mixed in.  Good luck....
Christine ~ I am SO sorry but I am laughing at poor Camus! I don't know what will get this off of him, but I know whenever I get marker on my hands or clothes, baby wipes do the trick.  Oh boy... GOOD LUCK - LOL (sorry)

Here's a belated Valentine's Day poem for you....

Roses are red,

Camus is blue,

I'm sure your mom,

Still LOVES you!

Thank you, Camus, for alievating MY blues...... Ha ha

Well, when it was my children with ink all over......  Ho ho ho .......it does eventually wear off.....

You could try nail polish remover on the places you feel won't irritate Camus.
