Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I'm considering this pup and wondering if you have any insight. We recently tried to rescue a goldendoodle only to figure out that the individual "rescuing" the pups was really running a scam selling maltipoos as goldendoodle puppies. So, as you can imagine I'm nervous and the seller of this pup isn't really helping.
Here are some pictures. The seller says she's 8 weeks old and that her sister is the breeder. She included pics that she says are the parents - a 45 lbs golden mother and a 14 lb poodle father.

I still can't believe that "collecting" really means what it means, or that people I know do that.
Why not?
What Adina said.
Here are a few that look a lot like doodles
By the way, it looks like the Downey shelter has an incredible amount of doodle type dogs. :(

I'm pretty terrbile with the shelter because I'm really scared about how hard it might be. I know that's somewhat selfish but I know I can't be alone in feeling that way. We might go and have DH go first. Downey has actually been on my list. The way the shelters work is kind of hard too. There was a dog I was interested in at the San Bernardino shelter and the dog was going to be available on a weekday and there was no way I could take off to get it. I think I may have been second on the list anyway but, it's kind of hard. Some of the dogs here only have 4 days before they're euthanized. I know if I don't go I won't save any but if I do go I don't know how I'll be able to leave any behind. Selfish and difficult I know.
I rescued a dog that had been dumped at my work last year. I personally found her a home through networking but I applied to many of the no kill shelters here just to avoid having to take her in to the local shelter (I did have her checked for a microchip). It really almost broke my heart. It was very, very difficult for me. I'm just not positive I'm the right candidate. I do think about it and consider and also search several times a day.
Well, waiting on a call back on some applications.
The puppy is adorable, but what puppy isn't? If you get this puppy, get pet insurance ASAP! Actually, with any puppy, you should get pet insurance. Your puppy/dog is out there somewhere. Please keep us posted! Good luck.
Thank you. Too many red flags. I told the seller to buzz off. I suspected she became more difficult to reach the more difficult my questions were. I guess we should never ignore our instincts.
That's right. If your instincts said there might be problems, I think there could be. Darling pup, but they always are. If you can't talk to the person who was the breeder, then forget it.
