Hey Lukas, welcome to this site. Do you know that not all doodles are non-allergenic? There are different levels of doodles and even within those levels you are likely to find differences. If you have a breeder in mind you might want to ask if you can schedule a few get togethers and spend some time with different doodles there and watch the reaction. Good luck with your search.
A very warm welcome to DK...we are glad to have you join us. You will be thrilled with either a Labradoodle or a Goldendoodle...they are both wonderful dogs. Hope you find all the great information and advice as helpful as I have. Good Luck in your search!
Welcome to DoodleKisses - the best website around for doodle lovers everywhere. You have come to a good place for more information about doodles and I think it is a wise decision to take a look at them. Be sure you get a great breeder who will work with you to get exactly what you want. I am on my third doodle right now and plan to get another in the future. Take a look at the photos on my page. Lots of decisions to make if you are in a city. What is the size of your house, apartment? How accessible is the exercise (and elimination) areas? You are starting out on a great journey. Enjoy.
Welcome to DK!
Welcome, you will love DK - it's the best!
Hello! Welcome to Doodlekisses! I have gotten so much helpful info here!! also not saying doodles are hypoallergenic, but I have allergies very bad to dogs actually, and I am fine with my first generation doodle! that means his mom was a golden retriever and his dad was a standard poodle.. :)
Welcome! It was a great idea to come on here to do some learning and research! The people on here are full of experience and generosity so enjoy and ask questions if you can't find the answer you are looking for in past discussions!
Hi Lukas ~ When you get a chance be sure to check out the groups section on the main page and join as many as you like. Welcome to Doodle Kisses!
Welcome to DK!
Welcome to DK, Lukas. It sounds like you are doing your research, so here is more for you:
While doodles are great dogs, not all of them are non-shedding or allergy friendly and there is a coat change from pup to adult that can cause a change in your allergic reactions to them. Here is an article about determining your allergy level with a particular doodle. http://doodlerescue.org/group/isadoodleforyou/forum/topics/the-alle...
If needed, here is a link to the most allergy friendly breeds: http://www.justdogbreeds.com/low-shedding-dog-breeds.html
I would love for you to get a doodle, but more importantly, I would love for you to get a dog that you can keep, love, and enjoy for its entire life
