Supreme pizza $22
Weekend spent in pet hospital $1900
Allie asleep in my lap AT HOME .......PRICELESS

Allie came home this morning. I stayed home with her all day watching her like a hawk. She slept most of the day probably because she did not sleep well in the hospital. They fed her this morning Prescription ID (yuck) and they tried to send me home with some. I politely declined. Tonight I cooked some chicken and rice for her and she proceeded to pick out the chicken (ugh). Can I feed chicken with pumpkin tomorrow? She has NEVER had table food (except for the pizza :-0) so I am a bit at a loss on what to feed her until I can get her back on her normal food, Fromm. Thank you all so much for the well wishes! Y'all truly got me through this!!!!!!!

I am very glad Allie is home and feeling better.

So good to hear such good news!

So glad to hear that Allie is back home with you!

Try cooking the rice in diluted chicken broth or cook some with the chicken, when you cook it.

Ouch on the bill, but glad that she is home and seems to be on the mend.  Hopefully she will be back to her ole self really soon.

I'm so glad that she's home and feeling better.  I'll bet you both slept well last night.  My guys love chicken and sweet potato.....I'd give that a try.  Thanks for the update....I've been thinking of you and Allie.

Jane, thank you for your concern. I really thought i was dealing with pancreatitis and i was looking to you for advise. Thank goodness it wasn't but i really appreciate all of your advise. Chicken and sweet potatoes did it! i have never cooked sweet potatoes until today. That is love!

I'm so glad Allie is home and feeling better.  Ever find out what the problem was?  My dog would only eat rotisserie chicken when he was sick, so chicken with whatever else she will eat - rice, sweet potatoes, yams, pumpkin.  As long as she is eating.  Good luck.   I think the worst is over.

I agree as long as they are eating. I didn't think of rotisserie chicken. That would have been much easier.

Much higher in fat, though. JD's internist recommends boiled white meat chicken only for GI upsets.

Glad she is home and on the mend!

I am so glad that she is home and getting better.
