How long does it take for Frontline to sink in?

So I made the not-so-bright decision to give Quinn his Frontline right after we got back from the dog park this morning.  Since then, the Frontline puddle seems to have sucked in every particle of dirt from his fur.  It's really gross.  (See below... ew.)

How long do I need to wait until I can wash him?  I don't want to give him another dose, of course.

BTW...it looked just like this the first time the vet applied it to demonstrate to me how to do it. It;s just their hair texture I think. It dries eventually.

i just looked at the stuff I use on Roo and Tigger. It is called Vectra 3D. It repels and kills mosquitos, ticks and fleas for at least a month and absorbed in only 12 hours. You have to get it from your vet, But you might try it and see if it makes as much of a mess.
