Quincy is officially a late blooming counter surfer. He ate a huge, fat loaf of very stale Italian bread down to the crumbs. I am at work- DH is calling vet. Any words of wisdom. Please tell me he will be okay.
Update--- DH found the entire loaf, with just a bite mark- behind the couch! yikes----thankful, yet! you sneaky counter surfer dood! We have to make sure everything is off the counters these days. funny thing is, this morning I purposely pushed and hid "treat" basket full of goodies further back. Never thought he would be interested in stale bread that
I intended to grind for bread crumbs. never know!

We once had a dog that ate a whole loaf of bread, bag and all, she was fine and Quincy will be too. He may feel stuffed for awhile but this too shall pass. :>)
thanks! false alarm as it turns out!
LOL! All that worry for nothing!
Lol! Glad all is well!
Our dog, Hershey, loved bread. I always had to put it up and out of the way. She, too, was a late bloomer counter surfer and once ate an entire pie. That was not good. I am glad Quincy decided to just drop the goods behind the couch. LOL
Well, Ned has gotten into bread, hot dog, and hamburger buns that I thought were well away from the counter edge. Normally my guys don't countersurf, but somehow, bread items are fair game.
Glad to hear Quincy just stashed it. :-)
We have to keep all of our bread inside the cabinets. Beowoof is a counter surfing ninja!
Darwin just learned how to counter surf as well (he is almost 6!) so we have to be super diligent about our counters and tables now! I admire Quincy's restraint, Darwin would have wolfed it down in a minute!
Quincy...you are a late bloomer...too funny...glad you found it behind the couch Lori:)
LOL.....love the update.....this is SO Banjo....when he manages to get a real "prize" he hides it. One Thanksgiving it was a turkey leg he was about to hide in the couch cushion. YUCK!
This is too cute.
I think I got a strange dog. I can leave a bag of her favorite treats sitting on the floor and it doesn't get touched. I hope it's because she doesn't care rather than she hasn't figured it out. If she really wanted them she would go over and bark at them until I came over to open them for her.
