I got to meet Dori and Rua!!!

My first time meeting anyone from DK and it was Rooney's girlfriend - Rua. Sadly, Rooney has come down with a cold (or allergy) and because the vet didn't know which one - I didn't want to risk exposing Rua. So I went alone to meet Dori and Rua at Dori's MIL's place. We are only 15 minutes apart so I am hoping to get the kids together next year. Rua is in person (dog) just as beautiful as her photos and Dori is a real sweetie.

Ahhhh, how sweet, but what a shame that little Rooney didn't get to go meet his girlfriend!

I KNOW - I was so sad but I would NEVER put Rua at risk if it were a cold. Rooney has always been a sneezer but a few days ago it just got to the point that he was sneezing 20 - 30 times a day and doing this strange reverse sneeze. Took him to the vet (we should have our own parking spot we are there so often) and he is on anti biotic and decongestant. But it was a blast to see Rua and Dori so we shall try again next year. :(

Yes, Rua and Dori are only here for a short visit but hey - gives me something to look forward too and if ANY of you come to Fort Myers, FL - we'll get together!!!!!

Oh you are in Ft. myers? We used to go there for xmas, well North Captiva island. But we would drive down with the dogs and stop at the grocery in Ft. Myers, then hop on the boat taxi to good 'ole, car-free, Captiva. Best shelling ever. Love it down there!
