Deuce and I have been invited to participate in a study at Duke University.  Here is the email we received today......

Dear Leigh,

Deuce has been selected for one of our upcoming studies in the Duke Canine Cognition Center.  We will be conducting a study on how dogs use human communicative gestures. We would love to have your dog participate in the study.  Please see the attached letter to learn more about this opportunity and the requirements for participation in addition to an example of a consent form we will ask you to sign.

We expect sessions to take approximately one hour. Currently, we only have the following days and times available:

Mondays  from 9-11 am and 5:30- 7:30 pm
Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm
Thursdays from 9 am- 1 pm, 6:30-7:30 pm
Fridays from 9-10 am

If you cannot make these times, but are still interested in participating, please let me know. We expect more time slots to open soon, and would be happy to have you in when they do!

If you and Deuce are available to participate just let us know what time will work best for you.

Thanks again for your support in helping us unravel canine cognition.

Cheers,

There was an article today in our local paper about this study at Duke. It sounds absolutely fascinating, and it really help to unlock some of the mystery around how dogs learn. I can't wait to hear more. It's very cool that Deuce will be part of this study.
This is great! We need to see pictures of Deuce all "decked out" for college.
