Lost 8 year old
Labradoodle "Cody" in massapequa ny! Since yesterday at 3pm! The weather here is very cold! He slipped away from the leash while at the groomers(not sure if he was being walked, or brought in our out from the groomers) he has been spotted yesterday but no one can catch him!! He was spotted at the massapequa park and preserve, which has a lake.. He would not even come to the owners!!! I believe traps are being set, please pray he gets home safe! *****UPDATE TO MY MORNING POST*****  After reading the most recent posts on Facebook, it seems they have an expert on the case and have a very calculated plan to try to lure and catch Cody.  I almost feel I would be getting in the way.  Therefore, I have decided NOT to go tomorrow.  Instead, I will just keep saying prayers!

Here is the latest post re Cody

No new sightings today. The experts that have been relentlessly helping us search for Cody are still advising that we all stay out of the preserves. I know it's very hard to do because we ALL want him home. The quieter it is, the better chance of him showing himself again. A lot of you have given us some really great ideas. Some of the things we have already done near the area where he was seen are:

* Go in at night and cook bacon, 3 pounds to be exact...
* Leave familiar items for him; toys, bowls, favorite snacks, pieces of his family's clothing
* Sunday's large group search
* We are in constant contact with the Police Department, Town of Hempstead and TOB Shelters, who has sent out a Pet "Amber Alert" to Vets and Vet Hospitals.

There are a couple of additional plans of action that we are working to make happen soon. Thank you all for your support!!

I can not begin to imagine what this family is going through! I think I would be a basket case by now. Thinking of poor Cody out in the very cold elements of New York.

Thanks for the update Ro.  Praying right along with you. I don't see how a shaved doodle could last out in these elements for two weeks.  I haven't been following FB but I thought there were some sightings. Surely hope someone has taken him in and will return him because it's really cold.  That poor family.

CODY IS HOME!!!! Thank the Lord! I couldn't even imagine the pain they were feeling during this time.

Michelle, as far as I read, he is not home just yet. He is at a shelter, but they say he appears to be fine with no injuries. His owners are awaiting word, that they can go pick him up.
