I saved a doodle today

Okay, well kind of saved a doodle. My dad and I were walking on the trail. On one side of it is a lot of brush and plant life, then behind that is the backyard of houses. Now I walk there everyday and have often seen two beautiful doodles playing in one backyard. One is a chocolate and the other is cream. They always get real excited when we walk by and run up and down the back fence jumping and wagging their tails. They are both adorable. Well today we were walking by and the chocolate managed to slip through the gate, which was secured with something, but he managed to push it open enough to come through. He came tramping up through the bush to greet us. I was a little nervous because I didn't know if he was friendly or not, but he was super friendly. He came right to me when I called him, and let me grab his collar. My dad and I were trying to figure out how to get him back down and into his yard because the brush is pretty thick, and as we're trying to climb through it (lol my dad is 75 years old and he's tramping through this brush with me) the neighbor comes out. At first I think he thought we were trying to steal the doodle, but when I explained what had happened and that we were trying to get him back in he was so thankful. Apparently the cream doodle is his, and the chocolate named bear is the neighbors and the two doodles are brothers. He was so thankful, I could tell that he really loved those two doodles, and it made me feel good to have been there at the right time. Hopefully they fix the fence so Bear doesn't go visiting again!

Could be also that Max was an attraction and that is why he came running to you.  My dogs are like that, they can tell another doodle who is on the beach or out walking anywhere.  I don't know how, but they can just pick them out of the crowd.

Brittney whatever you are visualizing it's probably even funnier. Just make sure you insert the two happy excited doodles!
Lynda and Robbin I do think that was partly the case, they always get very excited when we go by and I think he was jumping at just the right spot at the gate, and managed to kind of fall through, he looked quite surprised.
Joanne I didn't even think to invite him, but I do walk by there a lot so if I see him again I will!
