As you all know we think our Daisy is perfect and would not change a thing about her for ourselves.
That being said I think if we had the option, the one thing I would do for Daisy is change her fear of so many little things. Her fear of blowing objects, a falling leaf, the Goodyear Blimp in the sky, an object in the distance that she cannot decipher. I would prefer she be more curious with a healthy dose of caution, and I a willing partner, for her to move to those things just to verify that they are not going to harm her. I think life would be sweeter for her which of course would make life for us that much better with her in it.

For Libby, my wish for a change would be for her to stop barking when anyone walks by her "favorite" front window! "We" need to work on that one!
Lonnie, I heard the easiest way to train a dog to stop barking is to first train her to bark on command. Then supposedly you can teach the "no bark" command and she will understand it. As yet untested but we could use it in a few situations around our household too.
Barking seems to be a theme here.
It's really hard to narrow it down between these two.
-I wish his breath/beard didn't smell like death.
-I wish he could be happier/more calm in the car. I mean, he doesn't actually act out at all. But every time we get in the car, regardless of the fact that he's always strapped in, he will constantly shift between standing up, sitting down, standing up sitting down. All the while panting and drooling all over the place. And yawning. I know it's because he gets sick/stressed. But the reason why he is sick and stressed is because he's standing and it's really unstable in the back of the car. I really don't know how to solve it, but I wish he could be more comfortable while driving. I also wish he's stop drooling all over the back of my head when we drive. sigh.
Other than that I wouldn't change anything, he's soooo amazing and such a good boy. :-)
Dramamine! It works!
Are there negative effects for the dog? It may be nicer for him to be calm when we drive the 2 1/2 hours to visit family, but I don't to heavily drug him or make him sick, you know?
I thought about that stuff, maybe ask your Vet and if it's a go just use it on those long trips.
Ah, poor Darwin. Silly how you can't just tell them sit and know they would feel better. Don't forget beautiful!
I know, we tell him over and over to lay down but the poor guy stands up every time there is a bump or turn, then gets sick from standing up. :-(
No no no...don't ruin my mental image of Darwin's beard!!! ;-) Rosco's too. Even when he's shaved close...the hair near his lips sucks in every nasty thing possible.
Well, if it makes you feel any better it's mostly his breath. LOL. Seriously you guys, it's like he's the cutest thing ever, then as soon as he opens his mouth you almost pass out. We SERIOUSLY need to get that gel that F recommended.
Camus is a wonderful dog - my Velcro dog. He was so fearful in the beginning, his fear of people is something we have worked on from day one and I give him a 90% improvement in that area. Don't think we will achieve 100%, but 90% is really, really good!
However, if he would stop barking at the fence, and maybe stop shedding, I would be thrilled!
