On Monday morning we went to pick up our baby boy, Omar and have been enjoying him every moment since then!

Omar went to the vet this morning, and the vet said he is in perfect health and remarked on how relaxed and comfortable he was in the veterinary office. He said some puppies are really nervous. But not our Omar!

He fussed and whined a little during the car ride home, but then we placed him in a doggy car seat we had brought with us, and he nestled right into it and napped for quite a while. We were also impressed that he peed outside of the car when we stopped at the rest stops. We just placed a piece of newspaper on the ground, and he got the idea that he should pee outside. That said, he didn't pee on the paper but next to it.

He is adjusting just fine to his new home. He seems so happy, and he is really playful. He also loves to nap on the couch, lying on his back and showing off his belly.

We had friends over with little kids last night, and he was so good with them. He was running after one of the little boys and playing with him and having a great time.

We are actually surprised to see how quickly he has adapted to his new environment. We couldn't have gotten a better puppy. Our only little problem is his sharp little piranha teeth. He doesn't know how to control his bite yet and we correct him every time. I'm hoping he'll get it soon.

He is so expressive! Here's another of his funny looks.

Omar is just adorable! Congratulations on finding just the right doodle for you!

He really is perfect for me! Thanks!

Seriously cute!!  The piranha teeth don't last forever.  Enjoy him!

Thank you. :)

Like some of the others said, always have something appropriate for him to put his teeth on when ever you're playing with him.

Thank you, Rose. :)

He's so adorable!!

I'm sure others may have suggestions but wear clothes you don't care about because I have a lot of things that were destroyed in that stage. I thought she would never get out of it but she has and she's 5.5 months old. The time will go faster that you think.

Now we are dealing with the next stage of problems!!

My pup was so mellow in the first few weeks that I seriously thought something was wrong with her. My how things have changed, her energy is bursting at the seems. But she's still mellow some of the time, and definitely not a hyper pup.

That same thing happened with my last dog. He was totally mellow until he turned 6 months old and then he BURST out of his shell with a vengeance and was a ball of energy for quite a while! A pup with that much energy is a real handful!

What a tiny bit of heaven. So sweet. :) keep being consistent with the nipping.

I will! Thank you.

Omar is a doll!  He will outgrow the puppy biting, but it takes a little time! Enjoy the puppy time - they grow up so quick!
