I found some liver treats on line that I was about to buy for Tara when I noticed the manufacturer's statement of "Warning" and of some potentially serious side effects!!!!!!

I thought I should run it by the DK group before I make the decision of whether or not to let Tara eat these things!!!

What do you think??? Would you feed these to your Doodle?

Ingredients: Natural bison liver.

WARNING! Upon feeding Paw Naturaw natural bison liver chips your dogs may learn to open kitchen drawers and cabinet doors or crack combination locks in search of more.

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS: After feeding Paw Naturaw bison liver chips you may notice a dramatic spike in your dog's TWPM (tail wags per minute). An increase of up to 200 TWPM is not uncommon and need not be cause for alarm. TWPM will gradually and organically reduce in rapidity over time.

FYI, dogs fed Paw Naturaw organic bison liver chips may develop mind-reading capabilities. After feeding your dog its first Paw Naturaw treat it may arise to no surprise that with each treat thereafter your dog may embark into old and new tricks seconds before you speak the command aloud in an attempt to speed along the process.

Ricki, Thank you for the laugh!! My dogs already have ME trained about their treats, I can't start anything new....LOL!

Laurie, I'm sure your doods appreciate that you are so trainable!  Just another sign of your intelligence! :)

LOL, that is funny. My DH actually made me install baby locks on our lower kitchen cabinets telling me a dog can open them. I never had a dog before, so I believed him and installed the locks. Monty never tried to get into the pots and pans or even surf the counter. We did not serve any liver to him  back then. I took the locks off a few months back since they were driving me crazy. :-) Let us know what happens in your kitchen once you get the treats.

Jarka, I may be needing some of those locks myself soon!

That was great! this could really get dangerous because Winnie has a really hard tail and when he gets excited and wacks you by accident,, ouch!

:o)

Sherri, it's true! Tails can be a dangerous thing!  I once had a dog that could clear an end table -lamp and all- with one wag!!!

lol I like it!

So these may give Tara a tail of death. At least she's a mini, so her tail hopefully won't wipe out everything on your coffee table. I'll say it's worth the risks, since they are all your risks, not mine! :)

Yeah, I would probably get some serious knee damage though!   Oh, and thanks for having my back Leslie!!! LOL!

LOL

How cute!  I was wondering where this was going when I started reading it.  I have to say I read something one time about liver being one of the things that possibly caused a dog to eat its poo ... so, L&S have never ever had any liver treats!  I have no idea if there is any truth what so ever to it, but it was enough to keep me from feeding it!

Really!! OMD!!! Well Tara and our cat are hooked on liver treats but have not tried bison liver treats before so I hope these aren't the ones that cause the problem!!! If they do you'll be hearing about it!
