I should have put it here but it is in the video section.  I might add that Stuart ate all his dinner and is playing like a crazy puppy with his brother at the moment.  Seems fine except for the shaking of his head.

Stuart has been napping this afternoon and as I just walked past him I noticed that his head was shaking - kind of like a back and forth, palsy sort of thing.  He was awake with his eyes open.  He now is acting "off".  Not as much energy.

The two things that I can place the blame on is

1.  yesterday a.m. he got his flea and tick application but that has been 30 hours ago.

2.  then this a.m. at about 8:00 we went to the dog park and he got stung on the lip by a honey bee.

3.  oh and lets add it to the mix the "dreaded zap from the fence.

Any ideas?

Just watched the video, it isn't really showing on camera well....but I do have to ask "who is this big dog and what have you done with Stuart?"

Jane is this after the pool or before?

He is playing like nothing is wrong - he ate all his dinner and is running like a crazy puppy.  This is after he was in the pool where he was running and jumping.  The flea and tick was put on over 30 hours ago - wouldn't it of caused a problem before now?
Not necessarily.  It takes up to 24 hours to distribute over the body.
This was after the pool (watch that video - so cute) and after dinner.  This was the 2nd time that I had noticed the shaking within about an hour.

Jane, does stuart have his collar on for the e-fence?

No his does not have his collar on AND I loaded the wrong video - go watch again.
I don't have anything to add except to say that I hope that the shaking was short-lived and that by now Stuart's fine.  Will be looking for an up-date from you soon...
Jane, I just watched the video, and I feel very comfortable saying that's not a seizure; not even a partial seizure. Clearly, something's bothering him, but you can rule a seizure out.
It has been pretty stressful the last two days.  The e-fence, the flea meds, the bee sting.  He is acting great right now BUT momma is keeping a close eye on my baby!!!!  I LOVE my boy.

Jane - I agree with Karen, I would rule out a seizure.  Even if it was you are not going to do anything if this is the only incident.

even if it is a reaction to the flea and tick medication washing it off now probably will not help as it is already absorbed.

My advise would be to keep an eye on him.

I'm not positive.
We have scrubbed as directed!!!  Lets hope that that will take care of it.  We won't be putting the flea and tick on again.
