There as been some recent discussion about dogs on the furniture and where your dogs sleep so I was just wondering are these the rules at your house.

 

Dog Rules
The dog is not allowed in the house.
Okay, the dog is allowed in the house, but only in certain rooms.
The dog is allowed in all rooms, but has to stay off the furniture.
The dog can get on the old furniture only.
Fine, the dog is allowed on all the furniture, but is not allowed to sleep with the humans on the bed.
Okay, the dog is allowed on the bed, but only by invitation.
The dog can sleep on the bed whenever he wants, but not under the covers.
The dog can sleep under the covers by invitation only
The dog can sleep under the covers every night.
Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the dog.

Brilliant! Had to stop hubby from watching ice road truckers to read this out to him, and thats always dangerous!
Actually makes me feel so much better to know we're not the only one's who have let the rules slip. Dylan used to have to stay downstairs at bedtime but now he just knows when we are getting ready to move and he just trots off himself to our bedroom and settles on the end of the bed. He only stays for maybe 5 mins and then prefers the floor (despite buying several beds which he just destroys). But if we move during the night, or early morning, he jumps straight into the pillow position. On one occasion, I only sat up in bed and he was in there!

Our doodle also takes his treats up onto our bed to eat....so when we get into bed there are nice dog biscuit crumbs all over!!

I just had a friend over  to do lunch today and was showing off some new renos. When going through the bedroom I had to explain that Brian and I really don't have a stuffed duck fetish!

Luna is allowed on the couches and chairs but only extremely rarely on the bed and she sleeps in her crate at night.

She is only allowed on the couch if she is alone or if a human is there and invites her to sit with them. She isn't allowed to hop up on couches uninvited if they are already occupied. :)  She isn't allowed on the couch when she has cookies or ice cubes since they make a mess.
