Jumping up on people

Our little Olive of 12 weeks wants to jump up on everyone, what are you doing to prevent this? Thanks :)

Go to puppy madness group and join it! And search discussions for this topic--it has been discussed a lot since many doodles just want to get right in there and give you a big kiss!! I wish i could stop mine from jumping too--but I know it takes a lot of work--some people leave a leash on and step on it to keep the dog down and say "off" and eventually they learn. A 12 week old pup would not be expected to master that already--but keep at it and maybe in a few more months....

Yes, I figure it will be a while before she masters much of anything, she is still very young. I just like to hear what others did while training their dogs. :)

There are many good discussions in the training group and puppy madness groups on this as it can be an ongoing problem for older dogs as well. Starting training as soon as possible is great, but consistency is the key. And everyone who interacts with her will need to participate and reinforce the training as well. But it is very doable. They learn quickly that there is no petting, eye contact or interaction until all four are on the floor. Good luck.
