Just a quick hello

[Jennifer and Jack]

I just wanted to say hi, hopefully I will catch up on the important stuff in the next week or so, I got quite ill a few days before Thanksgiving which lead me to being intubated and in ICU for five and six days.

 

I am in great hands, my mom has taken great care of me, my dad is flying in this coming week, and then I will be back with my mom.

 

Jack stayed with my mom and Molly the whole time I was in the hospital and only ate one time. He is doing well though and I am making my way back to being stronger.

 

I will tell you I have been blessed with the best friends on the face of the earth and many of them I met through The Paw Pad which is where Jack came from,. I will just say doodle people are the kindest people on the face of the earth.

 

Hope to be back to my normal crazy posting self soon, I have a bunch of funny dog stories to share.

Wow - I kind of wondered where you'd been!  Glad you have a mom and dad, as well as lots of friends, to help out.  Being in the hospital is a bummer, but being in the hospital during the holidays is just plain awful!!!  Hope you're feeling better soon.

I am okay, I am more shaken up still then anything, I am already doing a lot of IV antibiotics but I caught a cold and for me, I just don't have the ability to fight anything off right now. The cold in spite of being on the IV antibiotics turned into pneumonia and a portion of my lung collapsed (I am going to call that part of my lung old faithful since it so unreliable to work for me)

 

I have been on life support a lot of times already but this time was different, they had a hard time getting me off of it, a lot of discussions took place but in the end, I came around, I will say that part of my issue now is the sedation they used this time did not work so I was basically awake with a tube shoved down my throat forcing me to breathe while I was hog tied to a bed for five days.....

 

They tried to sedate me, very hard, I was maxed out on sedation and yet I was awake and miserable. My lungs will be back to their usual state of being in about five weeks or so.

 

I am getting stronger each day, Thanking God for being home, for the little things. My mom said she for sure thinks I am getting better because I am getting more whiney about silly things

 

I have a few infections that I picked up in the hospital that we are dealing with but overall if I am well enough to be on DK then I must be improving right?????
