Just Wanted To Say Hi :)

Hi :) I'm new here, and still figuring this website out. I love everything I have seen so far and everyone is so nice. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Joanie and my husband and I have two furry children: a English Bulldog named Roxie who is 1 1/2 years old and Lani our 3 months (almost 4 months) old Australian Labradoodle. This past August my little yorkie, Sky passed away. She was 8 years old and I had to make the choice to put her down. She was very very sick and it broke my heart. My mother and I found an Australian Labradoodle breeder nearby and that's where I found Lani. I knew I wanted to name Lani after my yorkie, Sky but didn't want to make it obvious. I looked up names that mean "sky" and found out that Lani (pronounced LAH-Knee) is Hawaiian for Sky. Lani is so sweet and loving and has made me soooo happy. I love her so much :) I'm looking forward to meeting other Labradoodle owners on here. ~Joanie P.S. I just posted a bunch of pics of Lani, please check them out

Welcome! I love this site and have been addicted to it since I got my first doodle in February, and even more addicted since I got my second doodle about 6 weeks ago. :)

Welcome Joanie. I love the meaning beind Lani's name. What a tribute to Sky. I have a chihuahua named Taquito, who faces some severe health issues and although I stay positive, I am not confident he will live the typically long life that many small breeds live :( I am so happy you have Lani in your life! Also, I just responded to your other discussion with some advice about your hubby....
