I was just at a AKC dog show held very close to my house. Just to do a little watching. There was a vendor there and he had purple brushes that look exactly like the Les Pooch brushes that cost $85. He had them for $17.95. I did buy one. The letters mgt are molded in the handle. Does anyone know if this is just like the Les Pooch or has anyone ever heard of these "mgt" brushes? I did a web search and could come up with nothing. I've never invested in the Les Pooch one so I've never actually seen one.

How about posting a picture of what you purchased. I have a Les Poochs (or what's left of it now that Rosie has chewed on it) and not sure I can afford another one. Perhaps what you have would make a suitable alternative. I love the Les Poochs brush and may still get a new one and this time I will remember to put it up HIGH.
I have a lime green Les Poochs Brush.
* the brush base has www.Les Poochs.com and also the words Patented
* the handle has a hologram sticker with what looks like a serial number ( whoa--authentic)
* I do not have any inscription mfg or anything else

Possibly this is a suitable substitution for a Les Poochs Brush

If your pooch looks like a Q-Tip after you brush--then it will work! LOL
I know it is not a "authentic" les pooch brush but i think it's the same. What do you mean, "looks like a Q-Tip"?
It could save some people some money or maybe people who wanted a Les Pooch and can't afford one could get one of these. I also want to know if this "mgt" company makes any other of the other color ones.
I will post a pic when my daughter brings me back my camera. The problem is I tossed the receipt and all it says on it is "mgt". I can't find anything at all on the web that looks like it except the Les Pooch.
I went to the Les Pooch website and the brush I bought is like the Les Pooch blue one (only it's purple). It's got the bent pins on one side and straight on the other. It is a large one. I found the receipt in the garbage. I'm going to call this supplier in Warrenville, IL on Monday and see what I can find out. I'm curious.
Sorry I confused you with the Q-Tip comment.
My dog has a spiral Rastafarian hair/coat. When he is thoroughly brushed (a good brushing from a Les Poochs Brush) -he looks like a cotton ball or Q-tip.

What I meant was; Use the brush and if it works well, it was well worth the purchase. :)

No, I did not see your exact brush, although I saw many products from the MGT manufacturer when I performed the search. I did not go through all of them............. just enough to find you a website ( above ) so you could get more information you were requested.
Is it flexible when you brush? I think that is the real secret of the LesPouchs brush. I agree with Joanne - if it works, it is a great brush. I went to a dog show and bought a rake with revolving pins and I love it. However Ned, who hates being groomed, prefers the LesPouchs brush to the rake.
Yep - it is flexible.
I just bought a $20 Les Pooch look-a-like from my groomer--works well and is floexible. I am sure others are going to copy what they can without infringing on the patent.
I just checked the brush i bought from my groomer by Pet edge and it says MGT on it as well. I think it must be the same thing. In the doodle grooming group, I just described it and got a response (can't remember now who wrote it) that i should throw it out because the pins aren't rounded like the Les Pooch brush pins are and they can scratch the dog. I tried it on my skin and it didn't seem too bad, but i am still going to order a les pooch brush from doodle country so that i know i am using the right thing.
Thanks for that info. Fergie doesn't matt at all so the Les Pooch thing is not that important. I'll be happy with the look alike and it doesn't seem to be bothering her either.
Is this the purple brush that you bought? I want an alternative to spending Les Pooch dollars.
