I saw this article this morning when signing on to AOL and thought if might make for a good discussion. My dogs will continue to sleep in our bed, but I am questioning both of them right now to see who gave me the flu :)  What do you think?

LAURIE!  I'm with you!!  I am VERY Germ-o -PHOBIC...  My nieces and nephew call me "Aunt Germ-freak" - LOL...  I don't let my kids sit on their beds with their 'school clothes', they are not aloud to put their coats on anyone's beds when we visit... no shoes worn in the bedrooms...the list goes on, but when I let Tori up on the bed in the morning to wake DH, he is always reminding me that she walks on the floors that we walk on with our shoes and 'brings up all those 'germs' I try to keep away, but I don't think of THAT!  LOL
My friends call me Monk sometimes.
LOL... so do MY sisters!!!  Funny too I had never watched that show and then when they started calling me MONK I tuned in... I have to admit.... I agree!  LOL  At least I'm in good company!

Thanks for posting this, I laughed so hard! This is the reason I can't stand watching Dr Oz... one of the first episodes I ever watched was about diabetes, and it ended and I was thinking 'I'm always thirsty, I may have diabetes!!' LOL! Turns out I don't... I don't need the added worries :)

The dogs think I'm crazy since I was literally laughing at this. I especially liked the idea of taking a break if you're in a coma!
I'm cracking up at the thought of kids rolling around grocery stores in giant gerbil balls...
I loved this article, Denise.  Now anytime you don't want to do something, you can site this article.  Kids can get out of practicing their instruments, we can just say no to mints, and all staplers will be kept out of reach...
Gads, maybe my mother's habit of washing her hands every time she pets the dogs is not such a bad idea.  My dogs, of course, have regular exams at the vets and they are in there immediately if I suspect something.  But the kisses, yes that is hard.  Both of my dogs lick my chin to give me a kiss, but my husband never had them lick his face.
My husband could not stand seeing me let my dogs kiss my face. His standard line was "You know what the dog uses for toilet paper?"
"What doesn't kill us makes us stronger." I'm sure Nietzsche hadn't considered Doodles!
I'll take whatever Rooney gives me and like it!  ;)
Well I guess I am safe, Daisy doesn't sleep in the bed (much to my chagrin) and as most of you already know Daisy does not give out kisses. I would however risk either.
