Lets All Get Together WITH OUR DOODLES!

*****The owner has contacted me and she will be checking us out here on DK!  More info to follow***As many of you know we have talked for YEARS about having a DK meet up where we could all bring our doodles.  It just has never happened and although some of us are meeting this year to go on a Doodle Lovers Cruise - the doods are not welcome - LOL.

WELL DO I HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS but I need your feedback NOW.  How many people would SERIOUSLY (like in use your vacation, spend the money, etc) be open to taking your dogs to a Camp where they are off leash (unless taking part is some special training classes) to hike, do yoga, swim, canoe, sleep in your cabin with you?

That is right - I have found the perfect place and have sent them a message asking if they would accomodate a special "group" - US!!!!   We would need 50 people at that is the max per camp session (4 days).  I don't know the full cost per person yet but am finding out.  If we couldn't get 50 people perhaps we could just all sign up for a session together, knowing that other - non doodle dogs would be there too.

Rent one large Beach House for the week.  I don't need a camp telling me how to train my dog or what collar to wear. It started out good, but I think we are a creative group and can come up with a fantastic place all on our own

There are a LOT of dog friendly beach houses out there.  One beach house may not hold all of us, but a few beach houses in the same beach town would--THAT would be totally fun!  The trick would be to get approval for a couple handful of dogs per house...haha!

Concerning costs:

"Generally for regular camps our total package fee is $799-$999 per person and dog for 3 nights and 4 days (depending on whether you choose to share with 2 other, with one other, or want a private cabin)."

Don't mind me.... Camping for $2,000!  Ehh.

I would love the people and the dogs, but the camping part hurts and itches just thinking about it

I would like a waiter, chef, and ocean front.... with all the people and dogs.  I know--forget it.  :)

BUT--

If we all chipped in a $1,000 per person on our own--I bet we could get ocean front, chef, and the works!!

Major giggle!!!!  There are just so few places where that many dogs would be welcome.  Many beaches no longer permit dogs, not many renters would want 25 people and 30 dogs.  Find and I shall be coming!!!!  :)

Doesn't Juno Beach still have a dog beach? We could all stay with you and go to the beach during the day! How's that for togetherness?
