Here is what I am bringing on the plane to go get Hattie. Is there anything else I need to bring with me?

Sherpa Bag and puppy blanket and one small stuffed toy
Collapsable water bowl
Collar and leash
Pee pads for layover
Baby wipes and some paper towels

Earplugs! For you and the other passengers! Hopefully she will sleep a lot! But puppies can cry LOUDLY when they are scared.... She will be stressed but that will exhaust her, so most likely there will be a lot of sleeping.

Everyone  gets very excited to get a new puppy (and rightly so!) but remember that to your pup this is the most terrifying thing that has ever happened to them. After a few days though, leaving YOU will be horrible--it doesn't take long for them to bond to the new owner. Just be prepared for a scared little girl.

Oh, and you may want bandaids--yes, they do chew on your hands even if you ask them not to--and one of the pups I am raising broke the skin on my knuckle the other day!

HAVE A WONDEFUL TRIP!!

Ginny - I find that the roar and vibration of the airplane engines - if they are under the seat and on the floor - almost puts puppies to sleep - so lets just hope she is that lucky!!!
Sandy - Lucy added what I was going to say - THE CAMERA!!!!!

1: a chew toy

2: CAMERA

Don't forget your camera!  You may want some memories of her first plane ride!  Also, maybe a little sweater in case it's cold on the plane.  I always need one for myself on plane rides!  BEST OF LUCK TO YOU AND HATTIE!  We will be thinking of you tomorrow.  I can remember how excited my sister Kathy and I were when we went to pick up each of our Doodles.  You will never forget that wonderful time of your life!  I am getting heart palpitations just imagining how excited you must be.

A CAMERA!!!

I agree, don't leave the collar at home just put it on the conveyor! Better safe than sorry also a tag on the carrier?? A puppy chew toy or some liitle treats or something, not  too much so she doesn't get sick. Good luck!

A CAMERA!!!

I would not leave the collar/tags at home either-just pass it thorough on the belt-maybe another tag for the bag??

Maybe a puppy chew toy or some liitle treats, not a lot so she don't get sick, just so she feels comfortable.

I'm so excited for you! Good luck!

Put a luggage tag on the sherpa bag with all the details on it.
I would make sure she has a very secure collar or harness for the layover. I assume you'll take her out of her crate - don't want her to escape!!
And maybe the breeder can give you something - small blanket, towel that smells like mom & littermates.
